- ➤ Musicians from the D.C. area will perform at the third annual Reason 2 Rock Music Festival on Saturday, Sept. 20 in Falls Church to raise funds for PathForward, a nonprofit that helps unhoused residents in Arlington. The outdoor festival runs from 2 to 8 p.m. near Solace Outpost Brewery and features four bands, with tickets costing $20 online, $25 at the door, and free admission for kids under 18 — organizers aim to raise $20,000. - ➤ Officers arrested a 25-year-old man and a teen boy after a man was stabbed several times along S. Arlington Mill Drive on Friday night— the victim was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and no motive was given— while other violent incidents on Washington Boulevard left a female with multiple lacerations and others injured. - ➤ Arlington police arrested a 25-year-old man and a teenager on Sept. 5 after they stabbed a man on the 800 block of S. Arlington Mill Drive when he got out of his car and the victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 25-year-old faces charges of malicious wounding and obstruction of justice while the teenager is charged on petitions—both cases are under investigation. DC News Now

- ➤ A federal judge in Virginia dismissed lawsuits filed by the Arlington and Fairfax school boards on Friday because the Tucker Act gives proper claim to the Court of Federal Claims—this ruling lets the Education Department move forward with plans to suspend or terminate $23 million in APS funding, and Arlington Public Schools said they are evaluating legal options to protect essential programs.
