- ➤ Arlington’s unemployment rate rose to 3.5% in July from 3.4% in June—up from 2.5% in the previous July—and the number of job seekers jumped 38.4% year over year to 5,402. Local leaders and economists said federal job cuts may have added to the rise in unemployment. ARLnow
- ➤ Millions are preparing to travel for Labor Day weekend as the TSA expects 17 million flyers and AAA notes heavy road traffic, with today predicted as the busiest day at the airport.
