- ➤ On Sunday, volunteers gathered at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Springfield to donate food and hygiene items through the St. Lucy Food Project to help reduce food insecurity in Northern Virginia. Organizers said additional drives will be held soon, including one on September 28th in Arlington—aiming to meet the growing need for support. DC News Now
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The NTSB released its report on a May 1 near-miss when an Army UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter landing at the Pentagon and a Republic Airways flight on approach to Reagan National came within 0.4 miles of each other+ the report shows a breakdown in communication that led to a clearance error. WJLA

- ➤ Arlington County is adding 10 new speed cameras in school zones today — drivers will get a 30 day warning before a $100 fine is issued for speeding. These changes expand the county’s PhotoSPEED program to help keep students safe as classes resume. WTOP
