BUSINESS NEWS

  • A freshly renovated hotel in Crystal City held a ribbon cutting yesterday as it re-opened with 355 rooms, a new restaurant and patio, meeting spaces, and a fitness center after 10 months of $35 million renovations – marking the largest AC Hotels location in North America. • Nicecream, a family-owned ice cream shop in Clarendon, will close later this month at 2831 Clarendon Blvd because a 50% rent hike made it unsustainable. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Arlington Police Department and Virginia State Police enforced parking rules on Four Mile Run Drive and nearby roads after community complaints about abandoned and improperly registered vehicles — targeting issues with fraudulent inspection stickers.
