CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Arlington police found a man shot on Thursday evening on the 2500 block of S. Adams St — responders took him to a hospital and he is expected to survive while investigators work to determine what led to the shooting. DC News Now
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Arlington elections officials said voters may only rank up to three candidates in the November County Board race because the current voting software limits the ballot—new equipment will be introduced later. Five candidates are competing and sample ballots will be posted before Labor Day as county officials spend $60,000 on voter outreach. ARLnow
- ➤ Brasserie Angie LLC trading as THE ANGIE — located at 3901 North Fairfax Drive, Suite 100 in Arlington — filed an application with the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority for a retail—mixed beverage restaurant license.
