- ➤ Arlington authorities arrested 28-year-old Nathan Vilas Laatsch on Thursday in an Arlington park when he allegedly planned to pass classified documents to an undercover FBI agent (this arrest follows a long line of espionage cases in the area). ARLnow
- ➤ An Arlington police report showed that in 2024 serious crimes rose 11%, property crimes increased 12%, and assaults climbed 9%—officials noted that better online reporting may have contributed, and preliminary 2025 data suggests overall numbers held steady. ARLnow

- ➤ Preliminary jobless figures show Arlington had 4,862 unemployment claims in April—a 64% increase year-over-year—while the overall unemployment rate held near 3.1%.
