- ➤ Bishop O’Connell Knights had a strong spring season by finishing second in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference tournament, fourth in the Washington Metro Boys Golf Championship and tied for fourth at the state event at Williamsburg National Golf Club. Two-time state champion Logan Reilly shot a 69, three under par, and finished tied for fifth as his team tied with St. Christopher’s. ARLnow

- ➤ Marymount University Saints women’s lacrosse ended its best season ever with a 17-3 record, a 12-game win streak, and its first conference tournament title at Long Bridge Park in Arlington. The team earned its first berth in the NCAA Division III tournament but lost 20-16 to Plymouth State in the first round—marking several first-time achievements this season. ARLnow
- ➤ Yorktown Patriots boys lacrosse team overcame a 1-6 start to finish the season 8-7 and earn the second seed in the Liberty District tournament—winning six straight games that included an 18-4 first-round win over Marshall. - ➤ At the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association regatta held on the Occoquan Reservoir earlier this spring, Wakefield's varsity eight girls finished first in 5:28 while Yorktown’s varsity eight boys won in 4:54.8, marking Yorktown’s first championship since 2009. - ➤ Marymount University senior Taylor Chepren from Mercersburg, a lacrosse player who mentors youth at Woodbury Park in Arlington — was named to the Allstate National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Good Works Team for her outstanding athletic and community service contributions this spring. - ➤ On May 12, the Yorktown Patriots beat the Washington-Liberty Generals 7-2 in Arlington, extending their winning streak over local rivals to 16 games since 2017—this win improved their record to 3-1 against county public schools and may set up another matchup in the district tournament. ARLnow
- ➤ A number of former Arlington high school softball players are having strong college seasons this spring, with Washington-Liberty graduate Bridget Bartz batting .353 and hitting two home runs for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 32 games. Other graduates from Wakefield, Yorktown, and Bishop O’Connell are posting notable pitching and hitting stats at Division I and III teams—demonstrating Arlington’s deep talent in the sport. ARLnow
