- ➤ Lost Dog Cafe owner James Barnes saw a 10% drop in sales from 2023 to 2024 and said that if his numbers drop another 8.75% by year's end he may shutter the business in 2026 due to delivery challenges caused by Columbia Pike construction—cutting off 70% to 80% of his carryout and delivery revenue. County officials and Arlington Economic Development are offering support to help struggling restaurants—assistance is available as roadwork nears substantial completion later this year. ARLnow
