- ➤ A 42-year-old Arlington man was arrested Tuesday after he threw a rock at a fire truck near S. Walter Reed Drive + 19th Street S. when police recovered suspected narcotics and he is now facing new felony and misdemeanor charges while awaiting his bond hearing today. ARLnow

- ➤ Arlington County is accepting applications for its fourth poet laureate—qualified Arlington residents aged 18 or older with a track record of publishing original poetry—with submissions due by June 2. - ➤ Arlington officials from the Park and Recreation Commission said they worry that planned changes to local tree and plant removal rules will add extra red tape and let developers remove trees too easily.
