ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Arlington officials from the Park and Recreation Commission said they worry that planned changes to local tree and plant removal rules will add extra red tape and let developers remove trees too easily. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Governor Glenn Youngkin defended federal job cuts and new tariffs in a CNBC interview yesterday as he acknowledged that layoffs had affected about 1,500 federal workers in Virginia—many in Arlington—and argued these measures would spur long-term investments and retraining opportunities.
