Good morning, Arlington. Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 9th of April.
COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Arlington residents worry that the Green Valley redevelopment project on South Glebe Road will push Black families out of a historic neighborhood, since the plan calls for converting two hotels into 494 residential units, 37 townhouses and 549 parking spaces with only nine affordable units for families who earn much less than the required $119,000. The Arlington County Board deferred its decision to the upcoming Wednesday Board meeting while developers said they will work closely with the community—raising concerns over traffic and the impact on the nearby historic Lomax African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.
