- ➤ 1983 Chinese Cuisine is finishing its design and planning its menu at 1101 S. Joyce Street (in Pentagon City) and will open at Westpost at National Landing in early May, manager Cuong Vo said. - ➤ Arlington police are addressing a rise in nighttime fighting in Clarendon (Northern Virginia Bureau Chief Julie Carey said) as they investigate the incidents (more details are pending). NBC Washington
- ➤ Police investigated gunfire on Columbia Pike near the Liberty gas station on the 2300 block late Saturday night around 11:45 p.m. when a dispute led one person to exit their vehicle and fire a shot—no one was hurt and the suspect remains at large. ARLnow

- ➤ A WalletHub study compared all 50 states and Washington, D.C. on remote work factors using data from March 10 and found Maryland ranked highest because of strong broadband access and large homes. Washington, D.C. ranked fourth overall while Virginia came in 11th, giving remote workers useful guidance on optimal locations. DC News Now

- ➤ Sean Epstein will kick off his bid on Wednesday to run for a House of Delegates seat in Arlington, challenging Del. Patrick Hope from district 1 in the June 17 primary—he said toxic political talk calls for fresh ideas to shore up state finances, boost education with AI, and build public-private partnerships. - ➤ Arlington officials will start safety upgrades this spring at the crash-prone intersection of Arlington Boulevard and Highland Street by installing right turn only signs and flex posts to cut crash rates. They will monitor traffic in the summer and fall (with further changes expected by winter) until long-term improvements begin in 2030. WTOP
- ➤ On Saturday the Arlington County Board deferred its final decision on a 531 unit redevelopment plan for Green Valley at (2480 S. Glebe Road) after a (5 to 0 vote) amid community concerns over traffic, housing and church impacts. The Board will return Wednesday evening to address these concerns and review proposed changes.
