- ➤ Arlington’s Good Company Doughnuts is launching a new food truck named Sprinkles to serve donuts, pastries, coffee, and tea in Rosslyn. The truck—permitted in Arlington and Fairfax with D.C. approval pending—will park at 1735 N. Lynn Street a couple days a week and cater events. ARLnow
- ➤ Flight Wine Shop celebrated its grand opening over the weekend in Crystal City (at 269 19th Court S. on the ground floor of The Grace apartments) as a spinoff of the former D.C. Flight Wine Bar. The store offers 300 wines from 17 regions and will host wine classes and tastings soon (co-owner Swati Bose said the event exceeded her expectations). ARLnow
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Arlington police arrested a teen on March 13 after he drove a stolen car on I-395, striking a police cruiser and two vehicles before fleeing on foot—on March 14, officers apprehended a 53-year-old man who damaged a building lobby near Columbia Pike with a hammer, and on March 15, a scooter rider was knocked down and robbed near Courthouse Metro, sustaining serious injuries. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At a recent Arlington County Board meeting—activists shouted and chanted to urge officials to change the local policy that permits police to contact federal immigration authorities in certain cases. Board members said they would review the policy while offering no specific details on any changes. ARLnow
- ➤ Arlington Public Schools has more seats than needed at its 25 elementary schools—officials said there are no plans to close schools now. School leaders will review enrollment data and hold community meetings in the fall to guide possible boundary changes. ARLnow

- ➤ In February, Arlington saw a renovated condo at 1530 Key Boulevard #904 — a 3-bed, 3-bath unit with 2,044 sq.ft. — sell for $1,585,000 as the highest-priced condo sale; other sales include listings in Courthouse and Pentagon City at $1,130,000 and $1,100,000 respectively, and a modest unit at Green Valley that sold for $237,050.
