SPORTS NEWS

  • Yorktown Patriots secure their eighth consecutive Liberty District girls swimming and diving championship, dominating the event with 509 points and winning 10 of 12 races.  ARLnow
  • The Washington-Liberty Generals girls gymnastics team secured a runner-up finish with their season-best performance at the Liberty District championships, qualifying for the 6D North Region competition.  ARLnow
  • Gabriela Netwall and Ella Kaplan significantly contributed to the Washington-Liberty Generals winning the Liberty District girls track-and-field championship by participating in multiple events and the winning 4x200 relay.  ARLnow
  • Arlington high-school teams didn't win at the Liberty District swimming and diving championship, but saw strong individual performances, with Lucas Lopez of Wakefield Warriors achieving the highest finish.  ARLnow
